Raising Awareness For Breast Cancer
Each year in October its important to raise awareness to this terrible disease. Nearly 1 in 8 women born in The United States today will get breast cancer at some point in their lives. The good news is most women are able to survive breast cancer if found and treated in its early stages.
A mammogram “A screening test for breast cancer” can help find any signs of the cancer during early development. This is crucial in treating the cancer.
National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a chance for everyone around the United States to raise awareness about the importance of finding this cancer early. We can all make a difference!
Spread the word about mammograms, and encourage groups you might be in, local communities, family members, organizations and individuals you might know to get involved.
How To Make A Difference?
- Ask your doctors and nurses questions about the cancer to better understand symptoms and how to get ahead of this potentially life-threatening cancer.
- Encourage any women you know who are ages 40-49 to talk with their doctors. Its better to be educated on the subject to give one’s self the best chance at catching early signs.
- You can Organize an event to talk with woman ages 50 to 75 in your community about the importance of getting mammograms every 2 years.
Make Your Knee Scooter Pink!
That’s right simply decorate your knee scooter in order to raise awareness. Knee walkers are already eye candy which draw the attention of many. By adding simple touches of pink to the knee scooter this can raise awareness!
