Why Is Laughing Good For You?
- Laughter is good for you. From hanging with family members to meeting new friends’, happiness just feels right. When we laugh there is this rush of optimistic liveliness we get within our bodies. The feeling is unrivaled but at one point or another we have always felt it. Laughter establishes such a positive emotional response that it can instantly make two people have an impact on one another. The fact is, the more social a person is the more it might result in a positive connection between others.
Shared camaraderie between individuals lifts moods and elevates the essential healthiness that we attribute laughing to. By having daily reactions with people who make us chuckle and engaging with them it can improve the overall relationships that you have with them. No matter if there are memories of things we have done in the past or the constant changes that are happening during the present, amusement is the one escape from everything else.
Why Is Laughter Good?
Beyond making people feel good and energetic there is a good reason behind why laughter is incredibly important. Studies have shown that when it happens, our body triggers a release of pleasure endorphins in the brain. The release of such endorphins act as a sort of morphine like state and when we laugh, we feel it. The central nervous system is a complex structure of the human anatomy. Producing sensations that are thought of as natural highs the mood we perceive is acted upon by the tiny rush of endorphins. Above all else endorphins have also been known to reduce the physical and mental pain humans can suffer from.
Burning Calories
Some of the benefits that come with laughter include burning calories. That’s right, laughing burns calories! As we laugh, we are using muscles throughout the body. We use muscles all the time but specifically when we laugh, we are using so many more muscles than you probably thought. When that squeaky belch comes out the muscles that reside in our diaphragm, stomach, chest, shoulders, and face get a decent workout. They clench together and if you have ever laughed to the point of falling out of your seat you will notice that your abdominal muscles can feel quite a workout.

Everyone is always weary of high blood pressure and the toll it can take on the body.
